My sculptural practice is founded in intensive, repetitive, labor-driven processes where my hand and effort remain visibly present in the final work. I return again and again to basic forms, treating them with hours of small, deliberate gestures through hand-stitching and hand-dyeing. Scale and material shift, but my sculptures always ask the viewer to be patient, to look closely, and to be willing to notice that which is easy to miss. My works often feel reciprocal, like I am brushing someone’s hair while my own is being brushed. It is an exchange of care, of soothing, and of love. They are gentle invitations to slow down, to notice subtle variations, and to consider what is quietly profound within the seemingly simple.
